This 2-BHK Apartment was designed for a young family of four and was internally connected to another existing 2-bedroom Apartment where the older generation of the family lived. The house was designed uniquely for this young modern couple and their two young daughters still in their early school days.

The dynamics of the house were such that the mother was constantly engaged with her daughters in the house through different times of the day while the father would be out at work for a few months in the year. So most of the design considerations were made bearing in mind the needs of the former.
The requirements of the family’s dynamics brought about a unique design with a play of furniture elements using colours and curves. A conscious effort was made to ensure that elements in the house were detailed to be children-friendly and rugged while creating a balance of lights and colour. The interiors for this house were completed on an extremely tight budget within a short time frame.

The curves played a vital role in making the house feel large as well as playful, along with ensuring that sharp edges were avoided in the house. The colours that complement the curves highlight the house as they bring out aspirations of this young family.
