The family comprised of a middle-aged married couple and their son who had just moved out of the city for his university education. The husband frequently needed to travel for work which meant that the wife who was a home maker would be home alone often and wanted the house to give a sense of security and also feel homely. A lot of the material choices made for this project were done taking into consideration allergy prone nature of its residents.

The apartment is planned with an open kitchen and adjacent dining which are divided by a breakfast counter for a more intimate setting whenever the family is together. A screen between the dining and living area was a primary requirement to create a sense of privacy and security, but was designed in a way that it still allowed for interaction with the living area. The guest bedroom served as an office space, recreational room as well as a bedroom when needed.
