The Project was a Boutique named D V Fashion studio which specialized in wedding apparel and custom design clothing for women with a small section for ready-made men's festive clothing. This boutique was meant to be a stepping stone for the brand to go big and hence needed a sense of identity and grandeur.

This Boutique was designed for a young lady entrepreneur within a rented residential villa. A double heighted space became an important aspect of the design since it tied the workshop and design team that used the upper level to work, to the display space below. The brief was to create a space that felt artsy but also grand also ensuring that the tailored products could be displayed efficiently within a fairly tight budget.
In order to achieve these spatial and budgetary requirements metal in various forms and reclaimed wood were the materials of choice which were finished with paint. An art-deco type language was used in certain spaces with a mix of a modern minimalist approach in the others. Painted corrugated metal sheets were installed on the walls of the double height space to add a little texture and character to the space while working in unison with the custom-made chandelier to bring a sense of scale.

The wrought iron metal details for the railing of the staircase became an integral part of the design with the green wall and plants installed in the metalwork integrating seamlessly with the overall aesthetic of the space. The metal chains and floating pipes that were suspended from the ceiling were used to display the products with minimal ground contact thus making the space feel large even in the smaller pockets.
