This house uses colour as an element to define spaces as well as to personalize them to the taste of the users. Metal and Wooden furniture details become the heart of the design language of the house.

A 3-BHK Apartment was designed for a family of four members. The family comprised of two daughters at different stages of their formal education with their parents, one a home maker and the other a Chartered Accountant. The dynamics of the house meant that the mother was usually at home alone or with one of the daughters for most of the day.
The apartment is planned such that each space feels a sense of connect to the other yet has a sense of segregation. A floating Mandir Unit which is central to the home becomes the connector as well as a separator between the drawing and dining space. Budget was an important aspect of the design and the choice of materials used but was effectively tackled to bring about an outcome that brought joy to the occupants.
The house of colours literally derives its name from creating spaces within the house with patches of colours which allow the inmates to identify with each space and keep the house lively.
