A set of three villas was designed as a proposal for luxury accommodation for elite clientele | foreign dignitaries on the banks of the Congo river with a stunning view and an undulating terrain.

The villas were designed in a manner that they could look out on to the Congo river from one side but had a level of privacy that was created on the opposite side which opened up to the access road. Each villa opens up into the more public living spaces on the ground floor and dramatically steps down to the living spaces below bringing the residents closer to the water and also being conscious of the existing terrain. The spaces were designed to maximize the view of the river with large openings, glass facades and decks opening on to the river.

The villas step down over the sloping terrain bringing the inmates closer to the river banks with little decks at the lowermost levels from where to enjoy the view from. The roofs of the villas retained a connection to the sky as well.
